The Avis social feeds were dormant, collecting dust in the garage. But when we launched their first big marketing campaign in years, we knew it was time to start the engine and re-establish their social presence (particularly on Instagram). Our approach has been to help expert travelers be… more expert. But it hasn’t been easy — with comment sections serving as sounding boards for dissatisfied renters, we knew the brand needed to give the audience a reason to follow other than complain. It was clear that providing utility, and travel commentary people can relate to was (and still is) crucial. So, we share useful travel tips and hacks, inspire and help followers plan road trips, and give some insider knowledge on the car rental experience. Oh, and of course the occasional meme.

I lead social creative for Avis, overseeing a small team to concept, create, and publish content for Avis.
